Airsoft Gun divided into three main types, there are Airsoft Spring Gun, Airsoft Gas Gun and Electric Airsoft Gun (AEG).
Airsoft Spring Gun
Airsoft spring gun differs from the airsoft gas gun and electric airsoft gun, because airsoft spring gun cannot be automatic or semi-automatic. Airsoft spring gun has to be cocked by pulling back the slide or bolt before shot. Airsoft spring gun is cheap and readily available. Airsoft spring gun is expensive if airsoft spring gun fire at a high FPS. Airsoft spring gun is very suitable for sniper and marksman function.

Airsoft Gas Gun
Airsoft gas gun is the most powerful airsoft gun. Airsoft gas gun use compressed gases like propane and HFC134a refrigerant are commonly used to propel airsoft gas guns, and gases supported include carbon dioxide, propane, green gas, red gas, and high pressure air (HPA). Some airsoft gas gun requires a more powerful type of gas, so beware when you are purchasing your Gas Blowback.
Advantages to airsoft gas gun are adjustable velocities and blowback features. Onboard or magazine stored gas storage systems are used in gas blowback gun or GBB, using the same compressed air that propels the pellet to pull back the slide. Hence, this feature in airsoft gas guns makes them capable of automatic or semi-automatic fire.
Always use the right type of gas because it will damage the gun and could cause harm yourself. Airsoft gas gun is not suitable for beginners because they are more difficult to handle and care for. This is more of an automatic, machine gun.

Electric Airsoft Guns
Electric airsoft gun are the most popular and the hottest automatic airsoft gun that use a motor to push back the spring between shots with a rate of fire of up to 1000 rounds per minute. Electric airsoft gun originally was developed in Japan during the late 1990s. Electric airsoft gun also known as AEG, but are generally not very powerful unless upgraded. Electric airsoft guns are good for both of experts and beginners, especially for beginners. This piston creates a blast of air that propels the BB. AEGs are widely used in competitions today. Electric airsoft gun is suitable for close combat.
